Why it exists

New providers have to learn the rules between being hired and taking their first case, and they're often doing it on a phone. This course replaces a live video orientation.

Knowledge checks make sure the essentials landed, so "I didn't know" stops being an answer later.

Try it

A scenario moment written for this site, not taken from the course. This is a concept built for this site with fictional data, not the product itself.

One run through it

  1. Sign in with a code

Name, email and an emailed code. There's no password to set.

  2. Pick up the next lesson

The home screen suggests the next of six lessons.

  3. Watch or read, then practice

Watch a narrated scene or read it instead, then work through a realistic scenario.

  4. Check understanding

Pass a knowledge check, with retakes allowed. Every answer is explained.

  5. Keep the takeaways

What you learned stays in a searchable pocket guide.

What it does

  • Passwordless sign-in

A one-time code by email instead of a password.

  • Narrated scenes

Narration with captions on by default, adjustable speed, and a read-it-instead option.

  • Scenario moments

A time, a place, a situation and a choice. The right call earns a rule card with its source.

  • Knowledge checks

Graded on the server, with retakes allowed.

  • Admin view

Completion by lesson, invitations, and a review step before course changes are published.

Why it's built this way

  • The learner sets the pace

Lesson order is a suggestion, and new hires can move through it however suits them.

  • It works without sound

Captions are on by default and a scene counts once it's opened, because a new hire may be somewhere they can't play audio.

  • Practice stays private

Admins don't see practice answers. Practice is there for the learner, so it isn't scored.

How it fits together

  1. 01A Next.js web app on a Convex backend; grading happens on the server, so scores cannot be edited from the browser.
